2013 Annual Meeting Program Announced

Dr. Lori Gordon, President of the Parkland Surgical Society recently announced the program for the 2013 Annual Meeting, to be held July 18-20 at the Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

"Dr. Jason Fleming is this year's program chair and he has put together a fantastic program," Gordon said. "The Friday afternoon session on July 19 will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will feature the Distinguished Alumnus Lecture given by Dr. John Josephs."

"Our scientific session of Saturday July 20 will begin at 8:00 a.m. and feature the 23rd annual Robert N. McClelland Lecture. This year’s McClelland Lecturer is Dr. John Cargile and the title of his presentation is 'When the Surgeon is the Patient'."

The program has been approved by the American College of Surgeons for 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The meeting will conclude with the Society’s annual banquet on Saturday evening July 20 in the East/West Ballroom at the Four Seasons. Class Reports for the Chiefs of 1993 and 2003 will be presented at the banquet. The cocktail reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. to be followed by dinner at 7:45 p.m.
